- I used to receive extraordinary recognition for my presence at any global health meeting and conference, such as those organized by WHO, GF, GAVI, WB, UNICEF, UNFPPA, UNAIDS, Gates Foundation, Rockefeller Foundation, etc.).
- The Government and the ministry usually nominated me to represent the country delegations in such forums and meetings.
- International organizations included me as a key member in important committees. I was a member of two global taskforces of WHO, the WHO-UNICEF Joint Expert Committee of Nutrition Monitoring, the Steering Committee of Wellcome Trust on prioritizing cholera research agenda, and Vice Chair of the Steering Committee of the Global Taskforce on Cholera Control (GTFCC).
