Biography of Prof Azad

The MIS-DGHS used to maintain three databases for human resource management, viz., online Personal Data Sheet (PDS); online Human Resource Management System; and Field Staff Information System. When I worked at the MIS-DGHS as its Director, we combined all three databases into a robust integrated Human Resource Information System (HRIS). The system is versatile and incorporates data of health workforce for all agencies under the MOHFW of Bangladesh. However, each staff has a personal data sheet as part of the system. No separate field staff information system is required as field staffs are considered part of the all staffs. This single system can perform all human resource related functions, and can produce any kind of health workforce related report on the fly. The summary reports are available on the public dashboard of MIS-DGHS.Â
