- Retired on 21 July 2020 as the Director General of Health Services of the Government of Bangladesh after serving long 37 years in various capacities under MOHFW (1983-2020).
- Currently work: Country Project Director, Better Health in Bangladesh (BHB), a project of MSH (msh.org) with funding from FCDO (UKAID).
- Have diverse expertise as a policy maker, planner, implementer, health systems builder, health administrator and manager, IT all-rounder, eHealth promoter, organizer, public health specialist, researcher, data analyst, medical teacher, and health activist.
- President of a non-profit philanthropic organization, HDL Foundation (Health, and Development of Life Foundation).
